Hello.

My name is Charlotte A. Clark-Frieson, and I’m speaking to you from rural Randolph County, Alabama.

I am the daughter of a Civil Rights leader whose courage helped shape this community during some of the most dangerous years in Southern history. When my father died in 1989, I made a decision that changed my life.

I refused to let his story disappear.

For the last 36 years, I have documented his work — preserved the artifacts, published his biography, established a foundation in my parents’ honor, secured historic landmark designation for his place of business, and built an archive of proof.

Proof of courage.

Proof of leadership.

Proof that history does not belong only to the famous — it belongs to the faithful.

But in the process of preserving his voice, I discovered something unsettling.

Across the Southeast, Black voices have grown quiet.

Where are the strong, principled voices speaking plainly about power, policy, economics, and history?

Where are the fearless Southern thinkers?

Where are the unapologetic truth-tellers?

Silence is not safety.

Silence is surrender.

That is why I created the Southern Justice Archive.

It is not just a publication.

It is a platform for documented truth, historical preservation, civic engagement, and bold Southern commentary.

For years, I offered it freely.

But if we are serious about building something powerful — something sustainable — we must invest in it.

For $8 per month, you can help build the loudest independent Black voice in the Southeastern United States.

Not noise.

Not chaos.

But documented, researched, fearless voice.

If you believe our history matters…

If you believe our votes matter…

If you believe our future matters…
